General Purpose Health Eligible Expenses - A General Purpose Health Flexible Spending Account is the most common FSA component.
PacificSource Administrators also refers to it as a Health Related Expense Account (HRE). This plan
allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to use toward reimbursable healthcare expenses.
Limited-Purpose Flexible Spending Account (LFSA) Eligible Expenses - A Limited-Purpose Health Flexible Spending Account (LFSA) is available for employees enrolled in their employer’s group sponsored health plan who also have a Health Savings Account (HSA). It is similar to a traditional General Purpose Health FSA, allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars to use toward reimbursable healthcare expenses, except it is limited to dental, vision and preventive care.
Limited-Scope Flexible Spending Account (LSFSA) Eligible Expenses - A Limited-Scope Health Flexible Spending Account (LSFSA) is available for employees who are not eligible for their employer’s group sponsored health plan and are not enrolled in any employer’s group sponsored health plan. It is similar to a traditional General Purpose Health FSA, allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars to use toward reimbursable healthcare expenses, except it is limited to dental and vision expenses.
For Dependent Care
Each of the expenses on the list are potentially qualifying expenses. Expenses must enable the participant and spouse (if applicable) to be gainfully employed or actively looking for work.
